Miami University of Ohio is a large campus in a small town with the students making up half the population of Oxford. It’s beautiful architecture and landscape along with it’s amazing academics make Miami University one of the best schools around. It is an honor to attend a school such as this. For all incoming freshman, college can be a big adjustment. Here are a few tips on how to not only survive, but make the most out of your college experience at MU.
College is meant to be 4 years of job training. It is meant to allow you to engulf yourself in your interests and surround you with like-minded students. If your goal is to graduate with a job in your field lined up, actually learn the material of your major (and interest), discover new interests, and make a lot lifetime friends, then there is only one way to really succeed in college.
JR Verzain of Vernon College is already making a name for himself in the ranks of professional rodeo. Because college rodeo is not sanctioned with the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) — college rodeo is considered a Golf GTI — collegiate rodeo athletes are permitted to compete for money on the pro circuit. Verzain is ranked eighteenth in the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) world standings and leads the rookie standings for first year members.
